Third-party
Third-party es un apodo con el cual se conocen a empresas que desarrollan software libremente para cualquier tipo de plataforma. Especialmente se aplica en videojuegos. Ejemplos de empresas third-party son Electronic Arts, Activision (que fue la primer third-party de la historia), Sega, Capcom, Konami, Namco, Square Enix, entre otras.
